Molding operations support injection, transfer, insert, and overmolding for engineering plastics, including glass-fiber-reinforced grades. Tooling and molds are developed and validated in-house, with engineering support such as mold flow analysis used to assess manufacturability prior to production.

Materials handled include engineering plastics and commodity resins, with or without glass fiber, as specified by customer requirements. Tolerances are defined per customer specifications. Secondary operations include surface coating, printing, plating, painting, and assembly, applied based on component and program needs.

Components are manufactured from prototype builds through full-scale production, with batch sizes and MOQs planned based on part complexity and program scope. Typical tooling and production lead times range from 30 to 60 days, depending on part complexity and program scope.

Molding operations are managed using defined processes with SPC-based monitoring and PPAP validation. Quality and control support includes simulation and flow analysis, material traceability, and documentation to ensure consistency across production volumes.

Molding Services at MMI

We support molding programs from prototype to production volumes, with order quantities defined by component design and program needs. Our teams assess manufacturability prior to production using design and flow evaluation to support stable processing. Quality controls are applied through defined monitoring and validation practices, with full material traceability and documentation maintained through production. Secondary operations such as surface treatment, printing, plating, painting, and assembly are applied where specified.

Tool Design & Validation

We execute molding programs using customer-approved molds developed through our in-house tool room. Mold design, gating, runner systems, and parting lines are reviewed against component drawings prior to production to support manufacturability and process stability.
